So I've been keeping a terrible secret from all of you these few days.
I think about every 1 out of 3 times I've peed in the past two weeks, my pee smells like buttered popcorn. It's ridiculous. I don't know how it's come to happen so often now, since it was a once-in-the-blue-moon situation to begin with.
I've been eating a lot of:
chicken
chocolate
some pasta
drinking tons of tea
I've picked up the recent habit of drinking more milk to build up the strength in my bones, but I doubt it has any contribution.
I thought I had solved it, but the constant reocurrence just makes this ever the more interesting.
Pee Diary, I'm sorry I've been avoiding you. I still heart you much.

Buttered Popcorn in my Pee!!!!
I am updating to tell you all that I just
encountered the smell of buttered popcorn in my urine. I had just
woken up (it was about 10:39 AM), and after having gotten two long
nights of sleep, I wake up and pee and there it is!!! The sweet, sweet
smell of buttered popcorn in my pee.
Now, remembered, I had just awaken, but the previous day I had eaten:
lemon/olive oil salad
little bites of rice with beef
minute maid juicebox orange juice
chicken fajita
chocolate!!!
tea
homemade sour-y lemonade
Yes!!! Now I see the only common factor in mine and Louis's
encounters of yesterafternoon is the chocolate. With this, I have
chosen to l update in the future only in
the case that I have the smell of buttered popcorn in my pee. If
any of you encounter it, then leave comments. Together we will
fight this mystery.

P.S. I fnd it odd that I was at the movie theaters last night. Hrm...but I hate popcorn, so I don't eat any...hrmm...

Returning to life as a meat-eating omnivore has been great My pee has cleared up (unlike the weather),
but it doesn't really smell like anything.
Just like peeing water.
I've had a good share of mostly everything in the past
couple days, including a couple hot dogs from the meat party saturday (yes!!),
CHICKEN!, and some rostead bell peppers, wheat bread, cheese, yogurt, lebni
(yes!), pita bread, salad, pasta, fanta, etc.
And I'd talk more about my own pee if I didn't have this AMAZING BREAKING NEWS

So I've been keeping up with the vegis, still not getting much more protein (sorry Devon)
But 39 minutes ago marks the end of my vegitarianism week!!!!
In the past couple days, I've eaten,
eggplant parmesan,
lots of cheese and bread
rice!
guacamole!
tortilla
coffee
SO MUCH TEA
kashi with vanilla yogurt
SO MUCH CHOCOLATE
My pee hasn't been as yellow, in fact it's been pretty clear. I pee A LOT, as I usually did. When I urinate, I urinate a lot.
TOMORROW...MEAT PARTY!!! I WANT MY BUTTER FLAVORED POPCORN ALREADY GODDAMMIT.

Most memorable pee: I had a pee earlier this afternoon that smelled like ricecakes.
I hate ricecakes.
Other than that I've eaten:
banana bread
hummus/olive sandwich
some potatoes
bread with garlic/herb cheese and some brushchetta
coconut/chocolate chip cookies
lentil soup
kashi with vanilla yogurt
I always have lots of water, which I just figured is most likely a factor in the production of buttered-popcorn-pee.
Pee has been unusually consistently yellower lately. Do vegetarians have more yellow pee? I don't know.

Yea i know...I totally suck at livejournal.
But let me tell you that this week I am going vegitarian. Next semester we are trying a vegan week. But we'll see if it makes a difference in the smell of my pee.
Yesterday I had a:
Vegan Muffin
2 Lattes
Half a Vegitarian Sanvich
Teriyaki Rice
Bok-Choy
Tea with Chocolate Chip Cookies
Hot Cocoa
My last pee of the evening was particularly:
Color: yellow
Smell: interesting...could've been slightly buttered popcorn-y but not sweet and delicious enough, but maybe I couldn't tell because I was so tired.
Today my pee has been uninteresting. All day, I've had
coffee
capuccino
bran muffin
salad
minestrone soup
peanut sauce with rice
kashi and yogurt
cheese on wheat pita
Other than that, in the past hour I figured that I am Daria. She has glasses, reddish brown hair, and wears a green jacket. Maybe my realization will make my pee smell cooler.

So ever since officially quitting the real livejournal stuff and forming the pee_diary, I've been horrible at checking and updating livejournal, but it's okay, because I remember everything I need to record.
Basically, NO BUTTERED POPCORN PEE SMELL YET.
But today, I ate about a digusting month's worth of chocolate chip cookies and sugar in general. I feel gross. But, the point is, my pee was more yellow than usual and just smelled sort of...slightly peeish.
that's basically all. And I need to sleep more.
This mission to discover the roots of the smell of buttered popcorn in my pee will be revealed, as Zeus as my witness. |

Lots of Cartwheels in cowshit next to the windmills for about a half hour til I was sore and fell on my ass numerous times.

Smell: Not really any smell, but I'd like to say there's a slight tinge of In n Out animal-style-fries in there somewhere.
bottom line: NO BUTTERED POPCORN SMELL YET.

My lack of constant internet and wireless setup in the past couple days have forced me to be a poor keeper of my pee encounters.
I've eaten some nutella on bread, some cheeseboard pizza, some cereal, drank some juicebox-minutemaid and water, had some shitake mushroom soup from Slurp, and a couple lattes (one vanilla and one hazelnut), and two cups of chamomile orange tea....and still, no buttered popcorn smell.
However, I had to go quite frequently as I usually do, and at times I feel the urge to go just a mere 5 minutes after have peed again. I pee a fair amount at a fairly constant speed, and the pee is still pretty clear with that familiar tinge of yellow.
I've slept at about 3 am every evening, and woke up early most of the mornings except today, when I woke up at 11AM.
WHERE IS THE BUTTERED POPCORN SMELL????
p.s. i have toyed around with the idea that this livejournal will be determinated upon finding the reason for the smell of buttered popcorn in my pee. it only makes sense, no? |

Upon talking to friends today at the Urth Cafe in Santa Monica, I realized it is such a strange thing to have pee that smells like buttered popcorn once in a blue moon. I made it my mission, then and there, at 1:34 pm and 36 seconds past, to keep an online pee diary in order to discover the reasons for the smell of buttered popcorn in my pee. It smells so delicious, so pungent, but delicious, that I am determined to figure out what food contents I allow into my mouth that day that causes the sweet smell of pee. So here's to Day #1:
I have eaten, as of 4:05 PM, on Saturday, Novemeber 26,2005:
kashi and yogurt
tangerine from home garden
half a basil and tomato panini from Urth
random samplings of people's fruit tarts, oreo cheesecake, and banana thingamigig from Urth
Pee Account thus far (I have peed thrice today, and all times it's been):

Color: Mostly clear, tinge of yellow
